- Friendship
Museum - The Friendship Museum, Inc. was organized
in 1964 to gather, organize and display all historical memorabilia
pertaining to the fishing village of Friendship, its history, origin and the
world known Friendship Sloop.

Head Transportation Museum - is
a non-profit organization founded in 1974. Its purpose is to
collect, preserve and exhibit pioneer aircraft, ground vehicles
and engines significant to the evolution of transportation
and/or the state of Maine.

- Farnsworth
Art Museum - The
Farnsworth is one of the finest regional art museums in the
country with a specialized collection focusing on Maine's role
in American art.

- Maine Lighthouse Museum -
is the proud home of the largest collection
of lighthouse lenses, and one of the most important landmark
collections of lighthouse artifacts and Coast Guard memorabilia
in the United States. The collection was formerly displayed
at the Shore Village Museum until its closing in October, 2004.

- Rockland
Breakwater Lighthouse - The
Friends of the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse are currently
working to restore the Keeper's house to be used as a museum.
